Detailed 2-Day Program:

• Day 1: Site Tour & Technical Briefing Participants will fly from Tehran to Najaf in the morning, transferring directly to the power plant. The agenda includes a technical overview delivered by plant managers, followed by a networking lunch. The afternoon features a guided tour of key facilities, including the Control Room, Turbine Hall, and Heat Recovery units.

• Day 2: Specialized Workshops & Cultural Visit The second day delves into technical specifics with two workshops:

  1. "Grid Stability in Arid Climates"

  2. "Advanced Monitoring Systems" After a closing Q&A and certificate presentation, the group will enjoy a cultural visit to the Holy Shrine in Najaf before returning to Tehran in the evening.

Tehran, Summer 2025 – In line with its mission to foster international knowledge exchange and technical development, the IEIPE is pleased to announce an upcoming scientific visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Destination: Cutting-Edge Power Generation The focal point of this trip is the "Shimal-2" Combined-Cycle Power Plant, a state-of-the-art facility located near Baku. Participants will gain first-hand insights into modern power generation technologies, control systems, and operational efficiency strategies.

Comprehensive 2-Day Itinerary:

• Day 1: Technical Deep Dive & Site Tour The program begins with a morning flight from Tehran to Baku. Upon arrival, attendees will transfer to the "Shimal-2" plant for a technical briefing by chief engineers. The day includes a guided tour of critical facilities, such as the Control Room, Gas Turbine Hall, and HRSG Unit, followed by a networking lunch and evening free time in Baku.

• Day 2: Advanced Workshops & Cultural Insight The second day features two specialized workshops:

  1. "Efficiency Optimization in Combined-Cycle Plants"

  2. "Digital Systems & Predictive Maintenance" The visit concludes with a closing Q&A session, certificate presentation, a brief cultural tour of Baku's Old City, and an evening return flight to Tehran.
