Tehran, Autumn 2025 – Continuing its commitment to regional technical exchange, the IEIPE is proud to organize a strategic scientific visit to neighboring Iraq this October.

Focus: Power Generation in Arid Environments This exclusive tour will take participants to the Najaf Combined-Cycle Power Plant, offering a unique opportunity to study power generation challenges and solutions specific to arid climates. The visit is designed for engineers and researchers looking to deepen their understanding of grid stability and plant management in high-temperature environments.

Detailed 2-Day Program:

• Day 1: Site Tour & Technical Briefing Participants will fly from Tehran to Najaf in the morning, transferring directly to the power plant. The agenda includes a technical overview delivered by plant managers, followed by a networking lunch. The afternoon features a guided tour of key facilities, including the Control Room, Turbine Hall, and Heat Recovery units.

• Day 2: Specialized Workshops & Cultural Visit The second day delves into technical specifics with two workshops:

  1. "Grid Stability in Arid Climates"

  2. "Advanced Monitoring Systems" After a closing Q&A and certificate presentation, the group will enjoy a cultural visit to the Holy Shrine in Najaf before returning to Tehran in the evening.

Registration & Fees: The package includes round-trip flights, 1-night hotel accommodation, all transfers, meals, and access to the technical visit:

• Non-Members: 45,000,000 IRR.
